Student Choreography Showcase

Company members collaborate on original works that take the stage as the entertainment for the End of Year Banquet. This is an optional performance, and participation is open to all members and ranks of the company. Although participation is NOT required for all company members, the dancers thoroughly enjoy taking a part in the creative process, and push themselves to make these dances the best they can be. Each of the pieces created by the company members are premiered in the Spring, during the Student Choreography Showcase.
Students benefit from working together to display their creativity and hone their choreographic skills. Choreographing, rehearsing, and performing several pieces in four short weeks helps develop the dancers into better choreographers, teammates, and dancers. All of the dances created for the Showcase are made by the company members, although the Artistic staff may step in for support or suggestions when needed. |
End of Year Banquet

All Company Members are invited to come and watch the Student Choreography Showcase, and celebrate the dance season at the banquet. Dancers are allowed to invite guests to see the showcase and watch them receive their awards. Tickets for all guests are $10. There is also an open dress rehearsal the same day for free at 1pm at Gulf Coast Dancenter.
