Gulf Coast Dance Theater Presents Alice in Wonderland
GCDT adapts the timeless childhood novel, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll, to the stage. Alice follows the White Rabbit through Wonderland, and meets the most colorful characters along the way. She dances through fields of flowers, has tea with the Mad Hatter, and plays croquet with the Queen of Hearts. This dance production in two acts is fun for the whole family. Our version incorporates ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and contemporary dances to make one the most memorable theatrical events of the year!
Gulf Coast Dance Theater is a local, semi-professional dance company based out of Clearwater Florida. This non-profit organization gives youth and adult dancers the opportunity to perform throughout Pinellas County, but it’s more than just a performance. Gulf Coast Dance Theater brings excerpts of our shows to the Children and staff of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Brookdale Senior Living Community and the Florida Botanical Gardens. We have worked with Girls Scout Troops to help them earn a special patch and written letters to our Veterans. Our company believes strongly in teaching our dancers to give back to the community, and we strive to do that in a variety of ways. Our staff is composed 100% of volunteers in order to keep our membership fees affordable for dancers.
